Wardrobe Solutions with Fashion Forms

It seems fitting to introduce the new Fashion Forms products a few days after the Emmy Awards, as I suspect that products like these were responsible for most of the anti-gravity fashion magic on display there. Sometimes you just need that perfect bra for a really spectacular neckline (and sometimes you have to resort to tape!). Fashion Forms provides all of these items and more for your next jaw dropping formalwear look.

If you're just looking for a little more coverage, Fashion Forms Reusable Breast Petals and their Full Figure Gel Petal are the places to start. These breast petals can be worn multiple times to give you a smooth line under your favorite silk dress or even under a thin sweater for extra security.

If you're struggling with what to wear underneath your favorite dress with a plunging neckline, Fashion Forms has lots of solutions for you. The Fashion Forms U-Plunge Backless Strapless bra keeps you supported and secure while clear adhesive wings wrap around your back. If you are getting married or going to a black tie party in the near future, this bra can be a lifesaver.

If you want to keep your back completely clear, try the Fashion Forms Extreme Silicone Adhesive Body Bra. This stick on bra will give you a clear plunge neckline all the way down to your belly button and all the way down your back to give you support underneath the most daring of dresses. Stick these on underneath your dress and channel your inner Hollywood actress!

If you're looking for a little more oomph in the cleavage department Fashion Forms has multiple solutions for you. If you're looking for a more flexible approach, try the Fashion Forms UltimateBoost Gel Boosting Bra. By adjusting the inside bra hooks, you can take your cleavage from office level appropriate to hot date appropriate in an instant. If you're looking for a lighter bra, you can try the Fashion Forms NuBraUltralite. This bra will give you a nice cleavage boost while the self-adhesive cups keep your back and shoulders strap free.

Lingerie Gorgeous Patterns

I have been noticing something magnificent going on the past few weeks at the Bella Bella Boutique. As new arrivals are making their way in to the store, they are filled with fantastic patterns that are making my heart swoon. As you all may well know, my day job as a graphic and web designer make me notice things like patterns, colors, shapes and textures right off the bat. It’s what draws me in, what makes my heart beat and what inspires me most. So the patterns flooding the store are what we are talking about today. And as you can see from below, we have so many things to talk about!

1 // Dirty Pretty Things Medusa Soft Cup Bra – This is one of the newer arrivals for Bella Bella Boutique, and I think it’s amazing. The snakeskin print with the pops of hot pink are just screaming to be worn out some place fabulous.

2 // Beautiful Bottoms Quartz Silk Short Robe – This animal print is one of my current favorites. I love the soft, sheerness of the fabric and the way it let’s the pattern do all of the talking.

3 // La Lilouche Delia Shawl Long Line Bralette and Cami – The combination of silk, lace embroidery and burgundy rose colors make this set to die for sexy, no?

4 // Maya Hansen Helsinki Corset – There are few things sexier than black lace and this corset does black lace good. With all the different textures of the lace, piping and fasteners, this is one steamy new addition.

5 // Dirty Pretty Things Cruella Fluro Set – I see spots! I am huge lover of polka dots and think this set is just adorable. So fun, flirty and sexy at the same time. Go for the dots!

6 // Beautiful Bottoms Sapphire Silk Playsuit – this brand always tugs at my heart with their fabulous prints. I am loving this playsuit for Fall – the dark base and pops of sapphire blue are so perfectly contrasted.

7 // La Lilouche Flo Set – I blogged about this awhile back, and I still am obsessing over this gorgeous floral print for Fall. The jewel tones and textures really do it for me – so many surprising details!

8 // Dirty Pretty Things Blossom Georgette Babydoll – this cherry blossom print is calling my name. So feminine and sweet, and the fabric just looks outrageously comfortable.

Ahh, so many patterns to choose from! Do you love to wear a good pattern or do you typically stick to the neutral, solid colors? If you do, I’m urging you to explore your inner wild child and try a pattern! It’s a wonderful way to express your personality through your lingerie, and I think you’ll become quickly addicted.

New Additions from Dirty Pretty Things Lingerie

We're thrilled to have new treats from Dirty Pretty Things to offer today! Dirty Pretty Things is one of the few companies that really lives up to their name -- their pieces are gorgeous, offbeat, and have a slight raw edge to them. It doesn't hurt that this season that they're getting inspiration from some of my favorite sources: Disney movies, traditional Japanese blossom prints, and Greek mythology (my college major!).

Floral patterns that are inspired by traditional Asian artworks are all the rage this season, but this Blossom print is an especially nice rendition of the classic look. You can look flirty in the Blossom Georgette Babydoll or relax in the Blossom Silk Kimono and Blossom Skinny Thong. Don't tell anyone this came from me, but more fitted kimono robes also work well when thrown over a pair of jeans with cute flats when you don't want to change but desperately need milk from the store.

The Cruella line comes in both yellow and pink (or yellow and fluro), and is actually the second lingerie line inspired by 101 Dalmatians that I've seen in the past few years. Black and white spots are classic, but the florescent trim gives this line an edgier feel. Pick up a Cruella Padded Plunge Bra and a Cruella Suspender Knicker for a set that works perfectly as a basic or as special occasion wear.

The Medusa line fittingly features a full on snake print that is guaranteed to stop any Greek hero in his tracks. This line offers some edgy lounge pieces like the Medusa Babydoll and the Medusa Padded Thong Bodysuit which can also be worn as an outerwear.

Which line from Dirty Pretty Things is your favorite?

Lingerie: Floral For Fall

I’m always amazed that I don’t wear more floral pieces during the Fall. Somewhere along the years, we all started associating floral patterns for Spring and Summer whereas more abstract and solid patterns and colors became the trend for the Fall and Winter. As I was browsing through the current La Lilouche Collection, I noticed that the Flo set was so perfect for Fall and wanted it in my closet almost immediately.

Do you see how rich the colors are? Totally changed my perspective on wearing Floral patterns during the cooler months. The tones are still appropriate – more focused on the deep harvest hues of purples, pinks and golds rather then their more subtle sister tones which I would typically wear for Spring or Summer. Regardless of the time of year, I think this set is pretty perfect and it would be a missed opportunity to not wear it the entire month of October and November, no? Here’s where you can find the separate pieces:

How do you feel about wearing floral patterns during the Fall?

Maya Hansen Corsets at Bella Bella Boutique

I'm so glad it's finally September! Fall is my favorite fashion season because of all the intricate layers that you can create with different pieces of clothing. It seems fitting that we're talking about corsets today, since more and more women are making corsets part of both their underwear and outerwear wardrobes.

Maya Hansen corsets from Spain have been added to Bella Bella Boutique this week! Maya Hansen has spent the last several years racking up awards all over the world for her corsets. Fans of her work include Lady Gaga, who has worn several for red carpet events.

One of the great things about corsets is how many different ways they can be worn. Traditionally they are a boudoir item, especially when paired with traditional ruffled panties in a matching color. If you're looking for a corset for the bedroom, it's worth going all out in terms of color and fabric. This Maya Hansen Charlotte Corset in blue is a perfect example.

Corsets as formalwear have been around for years, but now we're seeing them more and more on the red carpet. A corset works as a sexier take on a blouse and can be paired with everything from a straight black silk or stain skirt to a fuller skirt in a matching color. If you're going for this look, either keep your corset or your skirt plain. You don't want them to fight with each other. This Maya Hansen Charlotte Corset in sand is a perfect choice for a formal evening out.

If you're not sure about wearing a corset out solo, you can try wearing one out over your favorite blouse or dress. This Maya Hansen Helsinki underbust corset will go with a wide range of outfits and can be worn with anything for an extra dash of style.

If you've never worn a corset before but are interested in trying one out, don't be intimidated! Feel free to email [info@bellabellaboutique.com] with questions about sizing or what corset would work best with your body type. For many people corsets are like potato chips -- you can't have just one.
