We're delighted in announcing that Bella Bella Boutique was selected to be the exclusive and solely featured lingerie boutique for the Association of International Boudoir Photographers.

AIBP  is the online home for photographers as well as enthusiasts of boudoir photography. It is an exclusive place for artists (mainly photographers) to come together and showcase their passions and talents related to Boudoir/Boudoir Photography. Their mission is to encourage boudoir photographers & enthusiasts to join this one-of-a-kind online forum, where conversation topics are endless & never off-limits. Also to find out about contests, workshops, ways to increase their profits, technical shooting tips, places to get the best/most reasonably priced equipment, & especially to discuss day-to-day boudoir answer for questions which clients tend to ask.

Bella Bella Boutique will be working with the boudoir photographers and their clients assisting with the right selection of lingerie and boudoir accessories for their photoshoots, offering personalized service via e-mail and/or phone, helping put together lingerie looks according to client's body shape, taste, style preference, and photoshoot concept.

Bella Bella Boutique launched a couple of years ago a Directory of Boudoir Photographers where all the referrals were hand picked and only the best selected. Lingerie Editorial: Bruna Linzmeyer, Ildi Silva e Emanuelle Araújo for GQ Magazine Brazil August 2012

Lingerie with Bossa. Three beautiful and talented actresses from Brazil get together for a super fun photoshoot with the theme of "Pillow Fight". The shoot took place in a boudoir where the actresses worn romantic lingerie pieces from Brazilian design labels Justine, DelRio, among others. We love the neutral bridal tones, it's soft and feminine. Loving that lace white bodysuit from Justine (on the left). If you love bodysuits too, take a look at our collections here. If you prefer other lingerie style (s) take a look here.

Just A Little Peek!

One of my favorite trends right now in the lingerie industry are peephole bras. Sexy and seductive, peephole bras are wildly flirtatious and fun for the bedroom. While they are not as functional as they are fun, they do come in a variety of styles for us to choose from.

And the fun doesn’t stop there; if you don’t want to go completely bare, try adding some matching pasties to spice up the outfit. From sparkly to sweet, pasties are a gorgeous little accessory for any peephole bra.

How do you feel about peephole bras  and pasties? A trend worth trying out?

Ludique: Unique Fashion Forward Lingerie

We're delighted in introducing Ludique, a new lingerie brand from Romania we are carrying. Ludique derives from Latin ludus and embodies the duality of feminine spirit. Both temptress and confident side, and also delicacy and grace which define femininity are underlined in the style and design of Ludique lingerie.

Fine and precious, as a second skin, the lingerie is created only with high-quality fabrics and trimmings integrating cutting-edge designs combined with elements from Romanian art.

Ludique products are created and handcrafted in limited edition and convey the Lingerie as Outerwear trend through a diverse range of lingerie items reflecting femininity, sensuality, spirituality, sophistication and boldness.

Ludique greets the Spring-Summer 2012 season with ‘Ielele’, a new collection of lingerie which gathers the features of these supernatural feminine beings from Romanian mythology.

‘Ielele’ in translation signify: Fairies of the night, and are described as beautiful playful maidens, voluptuous, revengeful and tempting, with great seductive force and magic powers.

The collection includes delicate and irresistible bodysuits, minimalist bras with frontal closure, high-waist, brazilian panties and bikini, in two combined color tones: black and violet.

For this stunning game of the fairies was brought into play a fine fringed lace with infinite geometrical motifs inspired from Romanian art, together with jersey with lycra to underline harmoniously the feminine curves.

We hope you love Ludique as much as we do! Do tell us what's your favorite piece from this collection?

How to Buy A Bra That Fits

La Lilouche Lily Pearl Balconette Bra

Buying a bra that fits online can be intimating, but it doesn't need to be! All you need to be successful is a measuring tape and a few basic tips.

First, start with your measurements.

Take your measuring tape and pull it tight around your under bust. You want to be able to breathe but you also don't want the tape to be loose. This is your band measurement.
Next, make sure you're wearing your best fitting bra. Take the tape and measure tightly around the widest part of your breasts. This is your bust measurement.

Now, enter those measurements into this bra calculator from The Sophisticated Pair. This calculator does not add any inches to your band size, but if you're someone who prefers using the plus four method just add four inches to your band size measurement.
Please note that bra size calculators only offer a starting point. We highly recommend you to get a professional fitting at least once a year and specially when you go thru lifestyle changes like pregnancy, weight loss or weight gain per example.

How should my bra fit?

A bra that fits should look a feel a certain way (we'll get to that in a minute). However, like everything this can be very individual. For instance, some women always have issues getting the central gore to tack and don't worry about it. As you try more bras, you'll figure out more about your body and what works for your shape.
In general, here are some rules to follow.

1. Your bra band should be tight enough that you can only slip two fingers under it. If you can pull it out several inches from your back, it's way too loose. This is important because most of the support comes from the band and not the rest of the bra, so you're doing your back and your breasts a favor by wearing a tighter one.

2. The central gore (the part that connects the cups in the middle) should lie flat on your chest. If you have part of your breast tissue pushing it out, the bra is too small.

3. All of your breast tissue should be encased in the bra. This applies to plunge bras too! A plunge neckline and awkward quadraboob are entirely differently things. If you have tissue spilling out the top, the bottom or the sides then your bra is too small. If the cups gape at the top, your bra is too big.

4. Always tighten the straps to the right point for you on any bra. If you're short, some bras will have straps that are way too long and uncomfortable. Make sure that the straps are tight but not cutting into you. It's uncomfortable and looks bad under clothes. Again, the support should be coming from the band and not the straps.

Now that you know how to buy a bra that fits you perfectly, go check out the great bra selection at Bella Bella Boutique!

Lingerie: White Hot + Neutral

Something about the summer time makes me crave all white color palettes and fresh, lightweight fabrics. I’m all about the bright and bold colors, but a good neutral can go a long way and I’m a firm believer that you should always have your neutral basics stocked up and ready to go. Whoever said white is boring is most certainly wrong! Take a look for yourself:
See what I mean? White hot and neutral lingerie is anything but ordinary. I love the draped fabrics in the new La Lilouche pieces, and the Zinke Fireside Set is full blown all American prep. Don’t get me started on the Lola Haze Charleston Chemise – the level of sheer lace gorgeousness is enough to make any Southern Girl giddy!

So will you be lounging in neutral this summer or will you stick to the bold prints?

Lingerie Meets Eastern and Western

Hot Summer nights deserve equally sultry lingerie and we’ve found a collection that delivers that in spades. When I first saw La Lilouche's new collection, the cheeky ruffles on the Elcee Camisole immediately reminded me of the ripple effect of serrated palm fronds decorating the winding Sindhu River. Having recently moved to India, designer Liya Amar has imbued her recent lingerie collection with cultural reflections of her magnificent new surroundings. The light and airy tendrils of the Damaris Silk Open Tie Skirt evoke the gentle draping of fluid saris and sheer tunics that bring elegant Indian women welcome relief from the dry heat of New Delhi.

The rich colors of the new collection are stunning and can be found in the spice shops of the open air markets in Jaipur. The soft golden color of the Goldie Silk Maxi Dress is so flattering on all skin tones as is the front tie and empire waist. The deep burgundy of the Delia set brings all the drama and sumptuous luxury that you would expect from an exciting evening enjoying the musical and visual stimulation of belly dancers. Be a goddess dancer and wear the Lily Pearl Fringed Bra with the Lily Pearl Pasties to sashay in style!

If you’re looking for lingerie with a little more depth and Middle Eastern glam than the currently trendy pastels, then this collection was made for you!

1} La Lilouche Delia Shawl Long Line Bralette/Cami

2} La Lilouche Damaris Silk Tie Open Skirt

3} La Lilouche Lily Pearl Fringed Open Bra

4} La Lilouche Goldie Silk Maxi Gown

5} La Lilouche Elcee Ruffled Camisole and Silk Tie Side Knicker

Staying cool is easy when you’re surrounded with silk and chiffon, so embrace a bit of La Lilouche’s beautiful designs and add some exotic heat to your lingerie wardrobe.

Cheers,
Maggie (Blog Contributor for Bella Bella Boutique)
